Wine cooler fan not working
The evaporator or condenser fan has stopped, causing poor cooling.
Symptoms
The compressor runs but cooling is weak or uneven. You may notice the interior fan is still, or the rear condenser fan is not spinning. Frost may build on the evaporator.
Likely causes
Failed fan motor, broken fan blade, faulty fan control from the PCB, or a motor blocked by ice or debris.
What you can safely check
With the unit off and unplugged, check for any visible obstruction to the fan blades. Note whether the fan runs at all when the unit is powered.
When to call a professional
If the fan does not run, the motor or its control circuit has failed. Continued operation can damage the compressor — book a specialist.
Our repair process
We test fan motor windings and control signals, identify the failed component — motor, blade or PCB control — and replace it, then verify correct airflow and temperature recovery.
Parts that may be involved
Evaporator fan motor, condenser fan motor, fan blade, control board.
Safety note
Refrigeration systems contain pressurised gas and live electrical components. Do not attempt to open the sealed system, handle refrigerant, or bypass safety controls. For any fault beyond the safe checks above, book a specialist technician.
